Holiday shopping on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

You'll find tons of shopping opportunities in Myrtle Beach, whether you want to work on your holiday shopping list or just browse for souvenirs. But few places are as great for shopping that the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, a 1.2-mile boardwalk with lovely ocean views on one side, and activities, shops and restaurants lining the other side. And what shops! When it comes to holiday shopping, you are sure to find something for everyone on your list as you hit the stores along the Boardwalk. Plus, you couldn't ask for a prettier setting in which to do your shopping. Even in the winter, the beach is beautiful.

We've pulled together a list of some of the great shopping destinations along the Boardwalk in Myrtle Beach. Walk, browse, shop, and rest assured that you can get your holiday shopping done on the Boardwalk.

You can't shop on the Boardwalk without going to the famous Gay Dolphin Gift Cove, which calls itself the largest gift store in the world. With 70,000-plus items, this shop has a little of everything. The Gay Dolphin is a Myrtle Beach institution, and says it is the most unique gift shop on the Grand Strand. It encompasses 26,000 square feet of fun and gifts over seven levels. One of the anchors of the Myrtle Beach oceanfront, the Gay Dolphin has delighted generations of customers since 1946, it says.

For stocking stuffers, don't forget to visit I Love Sugar, a candy lover's dream. This store has more than 6,000 square feet of candy, and is a shopping experience in and of itself. More than 30,000 gummy bears hang from the ceiling. Candy mermaids swim with gummy sharks in a 65-foot mural. A HUGE candy wall offers every kind of jelly bean, candy and sugary treat imaginable. This is also the place to go for specialty and vintage candies.

For all your surf-wear needs, hit up Tsunami Surf Shop. This Boardwalk shop has all the latest styles in surf and lifestyle clothing, gear and accessories, including a ton of popular brands: Alpine, Billabong, Columbia, Dakine, DC, Electric, Element, FoxHead, Free Style, Guy Harvey, HIC, Hurley, LRG, Metal Mulisha, Neff, Nixon, Oakley, One Industries, O’Neill, Plan B, Quicksilver, Rainbow, Reef, Rip Curl, Roxy, Rusty, RVCA, Salt Life, Sanuk, Sperry Topsider, Under Armour, Vans, Volcom, Von Zipper and many more.

There are tons of shops on the Boardwalk where you can check out beachwear, T-shirts and Myrtle Beach vacation mementos. Try Wacky T's for T-shirts, towels, swimwear, beach fashions, toys and accessories for the entire family, plus thousands of Myrtle Beach souvenirs. The University of Rock and Roll has a similar collection of merchandise, as does Boardwalk Beachwear. You'll find plenty of beach-themed places along the Boardwalk.
