Sometimes, when you’re on vacation, it’s hard to get everyone to agree to do the same thing. Mom wants to see a show. Dad wants to go for a walk and do some window shopping. Someone’s hungry. And someone else wants to check out some amusement park rides. When a problem like that comes up on a Myrtle Beach vacation, the answer is usually Broadway at the Beach.

Broadway is one of the most concentrated entertainment, shopping and dining attractions on the Grand Strand.

You can start with a show at the Palace Theatre. One popular show this summer is Illusions of Magic, a jaw-dropping display of magic accompanied by comedy, high-energy dancing, amazing costumes and a white Bengal tiger.

There’s also Legends in Concert, a Myrtle Beach mainstay, where you can see live shows by impersonators so good, you may forget you’re not actually watching The Blues Brothers, Michael Jackson or Elvis in concert!

For a different type of entertainment experience, try Encounters: U.F.O. Experience to explore the mysteries of the universe and the history of alien encounters. Or just enjoy a good laugh at Carolina Comedy Club, work up some giggles at Pavilion Nostalgia Park or even take a Helicopter ride! These are just a few examples, as there are so many entertainment options at Broadway at the Beach, we don’t have the space to list them all.

Of course, if you’re looking for a shopping experience, Broadway has plenty of options, including shoes, jewelry, gift shops, apparel and accessories shops.  Looking for sunglasses? They’ve got four options. Hats? T-shirts? Crocs? Jeans? Birkenstocks? Broadway has a wide selection for the whole family.

And if food’s what you’re after, take your pick from King Kong Sushi  to Liberty Steakhouse & Brewery to Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville. And if you just want a bite, take your pick from Kiss Coffeehouse to River Street Sweets for chocolate and candies.

Hope you’re not worn out yet, because there’s still nightlife to consider, and Broadway has some of the most happening nightlife in Myrtle Beach. Hit Carlos’ n Charlie’s if you’re into singing waiters, Rodeo Bar and Grill if you’re looking for a country nightclub with a solid oak dance floor well suited for boot scootin’ or Good Time Charley’s for a good old fashioned good time and live music or a DJ most nights.

Oh, and then there’s fireworks. Broadway at the Beach also has fireworks most Tuesdays and Fridays during peak season, as well as on many holidays.

If you haven’t done so yet, you may want to check out Broadway at the Beach. It’s pretty much stuffed with shopping, food and fun—and it’s only about 15 minutes from North Beach Plantation in the heart of Myrtle Beach. So next time you visit, check it out!
