Elvis might have left the building, and the planet, for that matter, but his music lives on the latest hit production of “Elvis Lives: The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Event,” which will take the stage at Legends in Concert in Myrtle Beach on Jan. 6-8.

In commemoration of what would be Elvis Presley's 80th birthday, multiple award-winning Elvis impersonators span the life and music of the man known simply as “The King” in this critically acclaimed show. From his early “Hound Dog” days to his later “Suspicious Minds” years, “Elvis Lives” covers his entire career with this multi-media performance.

Making its debut in Myrtle Beach, this touring show is a national hit at every stop. Featuring previous winners of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest hosted each year by Elvis Presley Enterprises. The Myrtle Beach shows will include past winners Bill Cherry and Dean Z, along with top-five finalist Victor Trevino, at Legends in Concert.

“We are very pleased that `Elvis Lives' continues to delight audiences all over the nation and that Elvis fans in South Carolina will be given the opportunity to see these talented entertainers,” said Kevin Kern, Director of Public Relations for EPE. “We hope to see winners from the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest starring in `Elvis Lives' for years to come.”

Playing Elvis at different stages of his career, the Elvises (or is it Elvi?) will perform songs that are as memorable today as they were when he was singing them to the top of the charts. The Legends in Concert's state-of-the-art sound, lighting and multi-media center help tell the story of his life, using video clips of past performances and never before seen footage.

The show tells the story of his iconic rise to fame, both as a musician and a public figure who influenced a new era of music and became the first true rock star. He sparked a movement among future generations with his distinct brand of music and his undeniable knack for cool.

“We are excited to be working with some of the most exceptional tribute artists in the world. These talented performers really capture the spirit of the King of Rock N’ Roll while evoking the sensation of being there with Elvis as he journeys through his musical career,” said Elliot Ordower, Producer for On Stage Touring. “Elvis Lives is truly a dynamic and family friendly production. We are especially pleased to be playing at the Legends in Concert Theater in Myrtle Beach for the first time.”

The Elvis tribute artists will be backed up by a live band, singers and dancers, along with a special appearance by an Ann-Margret tribute artist. The event also will feature some behind the scenes looks at the Graceland Mansion, where Elvis died in 1977. The Legends in Concert lobby will feature a display of Elvis memorabilia, including his iconic stage wear. This is the opportunity of a lifetime for Elvis fans looking to remember the man, myth and the legend, and for children looking to learn about the man who started it all in rock-n-roll.

Adult tickets range from $43.95 to $54.95 and children ages 3 to 16 are $18.95 to $23.95, plus tax and are available for purchase online or at the Legends in Concert web site or by calling 800-960-7469. Discounts for groups of 15 or more are available by calling 800-955-3436. Attendees also get a chance to enter the Norwegian Cruise Lines sweepstakes for a chance to win a seven-day cruise for two in an ocean view stateroom.
