If you’re looking for that one of a kind item you can’t find anywhere else, or if you just have an eye for art and an appreciation for craftsmanship, the Myrtle Beach Convention Center is the place to be Aug. 1-3.

The 31st Annual Craftsman’s Classic Arts & Crafts Show returns to the main showroom at the Convention Center for one of the top events in the Southeast. Owned and operated by Gilmore Enterprises in North Carolina, this regional tour circuit brings works by some of the top artists in their fields, many of whom are on hand to demonstrate their craftwork and provide insight into the inspiration for their artwork.

Exhibitors display everything from glasswork, paintings, woodwork, photography, jewelry, pottery and more, giving visitors the opportunity to view the original pieces and, in many cases, speak to the artists and designers themselves to learn about the process. Guests can take home that unique gift item that’s not available in stores or a memorable piece to remember your Myrtle Beach vacation.

Discover the latest trends in the arts and crafts world and see classic examples of American folk art and other traditional art forms. With hundreds of vendors from all over the East Coast on hand for this marquee event, visitors are sure to find something for every style, taste and budget, ranging from the most traditional to the most contemporary. The diversity of the vendors' works is one reason this show is a multiple winner of the Sunshine Artist Association’s”200 Best” awards and consistently named among the “Top 20 Events,” as rated by The Southeast Tourism Society.

Tickets to the event are available at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center box office the days of the show, which is held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 1-2, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3. Admission is $8 for adults and $1 for children ages 6-12. Tickets are good for all three days of the event if you pick up a return pass before you leave.
