Where to Stay At North Beach Plantation

One of the many perks of choosing North Beach Plantation for your Grand Stand stay is there truly is no bad room.

Not even close.

With that said, newcomers often benefit from a little help in choosing accommodations for vacation; which tower to choose? Suites or houses? One bedroom or more?

North Beach’s Denise Clarke, the front desk manager, expertly guided us through the selection process

Big Families or Groups:
“The Palmetto is one of my favorite units,” Clarke said. “It’s definitely one of our best.” Spread out in a spacious four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath arrangement on the corner of the Jasmine Tower, the Palmetto has a wraparound balcony and every room has an ocean view.

Clarke explained that all the units at North Beach — not just the Palmetto — enjoy an unobstructed view of the ocean, with slight variations. The Indigo Tower is situated at a slight angle, so rooms give guests both a front row seat to the Atlantic as well as the beautiful Myrtle Beach skyline. The Jasmine Tower runs parallel to the ocean so all units have a full-on view of the sea. Whichever tower you choose, it’s a win-win.

Another option for large parties is the soon-to-be-finished White Point Neighborhood. These five-bedroom houses will be the ultimate getaway for folks who want all the hospitality of a tower suite with independence and privacy. Some of the houses will have elevators (great for those with compromised mobility) and others might have a private pool. Others still will have back porches that open right up to the marshes — a fun and beautiful view of a local ecosystem.

The White Point houses will be full finished sometime this summer.

Smaller families or groups:
Clarke recommends the Southport units for a couple with or without small children. Each unit comprises a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area with a sleeper sofa. Mom and dad can take the bedroom and the kids can have the sofa or a sleep in a port-a-crib. It’s a good, affordable option for young families on vacation, she said.

For older guests, North Beach offers some one-floor house options so stairs won’t be an issue.

The resort has also purchased a second, larger shuttle so guests in large groups can stay together en route to the sites. The new one seats 12. The six-seater will still be in rotation.

The North Myrtle Beach resort runs promotions on various units throughout the season so call reservations for up-to-date price information.

What about you? What’s your favorite spot at North Beach?
