Top Five Locals’ Happy Hour Spots in Myrtle Beach

Most visitors want to know: Where do the locals go? Most visitors quickly notice that there are a variety of restaurants and bars to choose from and deciding on a destination can be overwhelming. You also know that with so many choices, if the locals hang there, it MUST be good. From best bar prices to excellent, low-priced fare, here are the top five spots you can count on for happy hour!

Flying Fish
Flying Fish has become a popular local happy hour destination in Barefoot Landing. They have a large bar with a few designated tables offering their happy hour menu. The food menu ranges from seafood options to BBQ Ribs. They even offer special priced sushi rolls. Each table is offered a complimentary white fish dip which is served with crackers, it’s a must try! Drinks are discounted as follows: $3 house liquors, $4 house wines and $2.50 for local New South drafts. They have great deals on signature martinis, sangrias and mixed drinks. Happy Hour is everyday from 4pm-7pm Memorial Day through Labor Day, and extended until 8pm the rest of the year.

Liberty Taproom
Liberty Taproom is located at 7651 N Kings Hwy in Myrtle Beach. It’s a sister restaurant to Liberty Steakhouse and Brewery in Broadway at the Beach. Both are known for their lineup of draft beers. Their claim to fame beers called “Liberty Drafts” and New South local brews are $2.50 during Happy Hour. House liquors are $3 and house wines are $4. The menu includes premium bar fares like spinach dip, potato skins, wings and peel and eat shrimp. They are priced between $4 and $7 and are all favorable portions. The atmosphere is very social. Their indoor bar opens up to the outdoor patio. Covers and heaters are available on the patio when weather is uncooperative. Happy Hour is everyday from 4pm-7pm Memorial Day through Labor Day, and extended until 8pm the rest of the year.

Fiesta Del Burro Loco
If you’re looking for somewhere with more of an authentic flair, Burro Loco is the Happy Hour spot for you! Domestic Drafts are $1.95, pitchers are $6.75 and house Margaritas are $3.50. Happy Hour is served in the bar area and this is one happening college hang out. This crowd is going to be a little more lively, but that’s to be expected when the tequila is so cheap! The food is good too. They offer deals on Quesadillas, Nachos and Mexican Pizzas. Happy Hour is everyday 4pm-7pm.

Island Bar & Grill
There are two Island Bar & Grill locations we will give you the details for the location at 2272 Glens Bay Road in Surfside Beach. During happy hour domestic drafts are $1.50, bottles are $2 and house liquor is $2.50. These are some of the cheapest drink prices on the beach. They also offer the largest food selection with everything from fried pickles, pork rinds, fried jalapeños and fried cheese. They also offer things like Chicken Alfredo Fries, wings and buffalo shrimp. There’s something on this menu for everyone, including those looking for something a little healthier like salads. Happy Hour is from 4pm-7pm Monday-Friday.

Bourbon Street Bar & Grill
Bourbon Street is located at 5307 N. Kings Hwy in Myrtle Beach. Happy hour prices include $2.25 domestic bottles and $2.75 house liquor and house wines. Their food includes Bourbon Street Crab Dip, Chips, Buffalo Shrimp, Wings, Chicken Fingers, Quesadillas and Cajun Fries. Happy Hour is Monday-Saturday 4pm-8pm.
