Pop quiz: Which North Myrtle Beach resort is a multiyear recipient of AAA's Four Diamond Award, has the No. 1-rated swim-up bar in the U.S. on a spacious oceanfront pool deck, and offers luxurious oceanfront accommodations and amenities like the on-site 21 Main Prime Steakhouse & Sushi Bar and the full-service Cinzia Spa? If you said North Beach Plantation, you are correct.

Now that you’ve discovered the best place to stay for your North Myrtle Beach vacation and proven yourself a quiz whiz, it's time to test your knowledge with a fun-filled night of trivia at one of the many local restaurants and bars that host Team Trivia. Put your heads together with friends and family members, and put all that useless information to work for a fun night out.

Many bars offer trivia contests during the happy hour or early evenings, so it's a great way to start out a night on the town. Compete against other teams for prizes, and you might even make a few new friends over some good-natured competition. The Grand Strand offers chances to play trivia six nights a week, with many of the host venues a short distance from North Beach. Here's a schedule of Team Trivia events in the area.

Monday: Buffalo Wild Wings in North Myrtle Beach is the hub of trivia activity to start out the week. Starting at 7 p.m., patrons can enjoy hot wings and cold beer while digging deep into the recesses of their memory banks. Carolina Forest has a busy Monday trivia schedule, with events held at Handley's Pub & Grub, Tavern in the Forest and Ron Jon's.

Tuesday: Located just across the Barefoot Landing Bridge is one of the best 19th holes in town and the home of a great trivia night. Putter's Pub at the Barefoot Golf Resort clubhouse hosts trivia at 7:30 p.m. with a $50 first-place prize at stake. Other Tuesday night trivia spots include Murphy's Law in Carolina Forest and King Street Grill in Market Common.

Wednesday: Barefoot Landing, which is a short walk or ride from North Beach, is home to Bully's Pub, a popular sports bar and locals' hangout. The house is packed for trivia at 8 p.m. Wednesdays as teams compete for $50 in house cash. That may be enough to cover your burgers and beers for the night. Other options include Bumstead's Pub and The Boathouse in Myrtle Beach.

Thursday: Trivia buffs are required to travel a bit to compete on Thursdays. Handley's Pub & Grub in Carolina Forest and Gordon Biersch Brewery & Restaurant in Market Common are the only games in town. Both start the trivia action at 7:30 p.m.

Friday: The kickoff to the weekend is more about seafood and live music on the Grand Strand, but you can also sneak in a game of trivia on the same night. Head south to the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk for a nice seafood dinner and some good music, and stop by Carolina Tavern to compete for $50 in house cash.

Saturday: The highest paying game in town is at Tavern in the Forest in Carolina Forest on Saturday night. Teams compete for $75 cash and enjoy food and drinks before, during and after the contest, which starts at 8:30 p.m.

After a night of draining your brain of trivia facts, head back to North Beach Plantation and unwind at the Grand Strand's ultimate oceanfront resort in North Myrtle Beach. In an evening filled with tough trivia questions, it's the best answer you will have all night.
