Spring is a very special time here in North Myrtle Beach. If you’ve never been, we have to say: you’re missing out. The weather is terrific, the chill of winter is gone, and yet it’s not too hot yet. It’s warm enough to walk barefoot on the beach, but you don’t have to take refuge from the sun—you can simply bask in its glory.

Plus, there are tons of terrific attractions nearby in the spring, near and far. Here are a few of our favorites:

St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival

If you’re looking for the biggest, best parade on the Grand Strand, you’ve found it. Dress up in green and head to Main Street in North Myrtle Beach and get ready for a good time! Parade-goers line up early, so be sure to grab your spot well before the parade begins at 9 a.m. Following the parade, you can check out more than 125 vendors with arts, crafts and delicious food, as well as live music and a kid’s area.

When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 15, 2014

Where: Main Street down to Ocean Boulevard, North Myrtle Beach

32nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Dress up your kids in their Easter best and head down to McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach for a free and fun Easter egg hunt, a visit and photos with Ms. Blossom, and refreshments provided by the North Strand Optimist Club. All children in attendance will get free candy, and egg hunt areas are divided by age group.

Where: McLean Park, 93 Oak Drive, North Myrtle Beach

Mayfest on Main

In late spring, North Myrtle Beach gets ready for summer with a month long festival with some of the top musical acts in the region, as well as plenty of great food, craft vendors, and a community stage and kids’ area. Just bring a beach chair and the whole family down to Main Street and get ready for a good time.
