Depending on your perspective, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk either begins or ends at Bandito's Cantina. Either way, there's no better place to start or finish your stroll down the beach than this Myrtle Beach restaurant hot spot.

Since its grand opening in 2012, Bandito's has become a popular hangout for locals and visitors, and for high rollers and beach bums. Some see Bandito's as a night out on the town while others use it for a refreshing break from the heat on the beach. The diverse crowd creates a great vibe at this oceanfront cantina that looks like it belongs in Cancun.

Located between 14th and 15th Avenues North on Ocean Boulevard in downtown Myrtle Beach, this 3,000-square-foot Spanish-style castle features a classic Caribbean vibe both inside and out. The outdoor patio area overlooking the beach is the place to be on a beautiful day or night, while the inside provides a cooler environment, both in terms of temperature and attitude.

Bandito's menu is a combination of Caribbean, Mexican and fresh local seafood, serving all the traditional Mexican favorites, like tacos, burritos, nachos, etc., but also features a solid lineup of creative Caribbean dishes, such as the Jerked Grouper with rice and beans.

Soups, salads, sandwiches and starters, like the Fuego Shrimp Tostada with fried shrimp, tropical salsa and a spicy cilantro-lime aioli atop a crispy tostada, are big enough for a meal. Bandito's also serves a wide range of burgers and quesadillas that are ideal for lunch.

But at night time the dinner menu gets a bit more involved – the Popino Grouper topped with southwestern slaw, spicy mango and fried plantains, and the Chimichuran Steak marinated in a special blend of spices and grilled to perfection. Bandito's also specializes in frozen drinks and the full bar features a broad selection of beers and more than 100 brands of tequilas.

For late-night fun, the large deck features live bands and some hot action on the makeshift dance floor. Cool off to the ocean breeze and a frozen drinks or cold beer at the hottest spot on the beach.
Bandito’s is open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight during the summer months. For reservations or for more information, call (843) 839-4089 or visit the website at www.banditosmyrtlebeach.com.
