It is the reason for the season, after all. Christmas is one of the two most popular days of the year to attend Mass and worship, and most churches accommodate the larger crowds by offering multiple services on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or both. The numerous churches within a short drive of Litchfield Beach and Golf area are no exception, and we’ve assembled a list of times and web links for Catholic, Episcopalian, Lutheran, Methodist and Presbyterian churches in the area. All are welcome to celebrate the arrival of the Christ child.

Christmas Eve: 6 p.m. family Mass with nativity; 12:00 a.m. Midnight Mass
Christmas Day: 10 a.m.
St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Murrells Inlet:
Daily Mass: 8 a.m.
Christmas Eve: 4 p.m. family Mass; 7 p.m. Life Teen Christmas Vigil Mass; 10 p.m. Christmas Vigil Mass with Adult Choir
Christmas Day: 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. (Christmas carols will be sung before all Masses, except daily and family Masses)
All Saints Episcopal Church, Pawleys Island:
Christmas Eve: 4 p.m. Holy Communion and Children’s Pageant. Music begins at 3:45 p.m. in the Large Sanctuary; 6 p.m. Holy Communion and Candle Lighting, music begins at 5:30 in the Large Sanctuary; 11 p.m. Holy Communion and Candle Lighting, music begins at 10:35 in the Old Church.
Christmas Day: No services
Note: On December 21 they will be having a special service of Lessons and Carols at 10:30 a.m. in the Large Sanctuary.
Holy Cross Faith Memorial Episcopal Church, Pawleys Island:
Christmas Eve: 4 p.m. Holy Eucharist and Christmas Pageant; 9 p.m. Candlelight Eucharist with musical prelude.
Christmas Day: 10 a.m. Holy Eucharist
St. Paul’s Waccamaw United Methodist Church, Pawleys Island:
